Surface is a to-do app made by Revarity. This page explains, in plain English, what we keep, why we keep it, and how you stay in control. No fine print games.

What we keep

• Your tasks and notes — the things you add, finish, tag, or brain-dump.
• Your email — so you can sign in and we can reach you about your account.
• Your settings — your name, the coaching style you picked, and your preferences.
• Basic activity — things like your streak, so the app can show your progress.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information. We don't show you ads. We don't share your tasks with anyone except the trusted services below that help run the app.

When you ask the app for help

When you tap for a suggestion on a task, we send that task's text to our AI partner (Anthropic) so it can write you a helpful nudge. They process it to answer you and do not use it to train their AI. Nothing is sent unless you ask for help.

The services that help run Surface

A few outside companies handle pieces of the app on our behalf. They only get what they need to do their job, and they're bound to keep it private:

• Supabase — securely stores your account and tasks.
• Vercel — runs the website and app.
• Anthropic — powers the AI suggestions, as described above.
• Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in.

Cookies

We use a sign-in cookie so you stay logged in. That's it — no tracking cookies following you around the web.

You're in control

• Download your stuff anytime from Settings → Your data (spreadsheet or full backup).
• Delete your account from Settings whenever you want. When you do, your tasks and data go with it.

Kids

Surface isn't meant for children under 13.

Changes

If we update this page, we'll change the date at the top. Big changes, we'll tell you directly.
